Finding Better Evidence (12:30 – 13:30)

12:30 Monday July 15th

Finding evidence is an essential component of practicing EBM; yet the ways people locate the evidence vary widely – even for very similar scenarios. It is unlikely that all techniques are equally efficient, which is far from ideal!

This session will be an informal, facilitated, discussion exploring issues relating to finding better evidence.  Questions to be explored include:

Why do we look for evidence?
What problems do we face when trying to find better evidence?
Can non-journal sources of evidence be useful (or even essential)?
What are the features of a perfect system?

There is a lot of ground to cover, so expect a fast-paced session!
