How to make summary results available

The best available evidence shows that the results of clinical trials are routinely unreported or underreported. In this session we will:

  • review the evidence on the completeness and quality of trial reporting, including the TrialsTracker project;
  • highlight the ramifications of incomplete, incorrect, or non-reporting of clinical trials;
  • cover the ethical and legal obligations of various stakeholders to ensure information about clinical trials is disseminated through registration and reporting;
  • compare the relative strengths and weaknesses of methods of results dissemination (i.e. journal publications, registry reports, clinical study reports) and;
  • engage attendees on their experiences with barriers or best practices to ensuring the complete and timely reporting of clinical trials
